Photos by Emily Frazier It's the most wonderful time of the year! It's the time where you feel love and kindness fill the air, and the holiday spirit comes alive. Spending the holiday season with your loved ones is the best part of it, other than giving gifts, and dressing up for the occassion. Styling for Christmas is one that the ladies have in the bag, but us guys really don't. So, today I'm helping you with holiday styling! So you want to look good for those family holiday photos but not look corny, right? The key to holiday styling is simple. You use the holiday color scheme and incoporate it in your outfit, like I did here. Green, Red, White, and Camel tones are perfect for starting your festive wardrobe. As soon as I laid eyes on this reversible vest from J.Crew Factory I knew I had to grab it. The reason it's so good for this time of year is because black is a good color to add to tone down the more vibrant colors in your attire. The other perk of the vest is that it's able to be reversed onto the flannel-like side. Red plaid, gingham, or buffalo plaid is a good choice to add into your holiday looks because it gives a cozy and festive feel. Whether it's a layered sweater look, or a peacoat and scarf combo, add interesting color and pattern combinations to make you stand out. Now, I was surfing through American Eagle Outfitter's website when I stumbled upon these skinny fit green chinos. The chino pant is an essential for every guy's wardrobe. The reason being is that this style of pant is versatile in style. Styling the pant with a tie and dress shirt works just as well as a crew neck tee and denim jacket. What's even better about this pair is that it's a olive green based color, which is almost a neutral feel for this look. It adds personality to the look, but doesn't throw to much attention also. Socks! I don't know about you guys but socks for gifts can be a great thing for the big day, I chose these Kimchi Socks because of the color scheme works well with the vest. Fun socks can add a good vibe to your look without making you look like a goof ball, and Kimchi Socks has plenty of interesting patterned footwear, that each have meaning. With shoes for the season keep it neutral but do your thing! Solid colored canvas shoes, sneakers, or dress shoes like I'm sporting will all make a great look even better. I hope I helped you guys with this holiday guide. Until next time. -Denz

Fall, it's the most wonderful time of the year. The temperature drop allows every day guys like myself to look like a GQ fall trend report. So with every season, comes rules for fashion, ya know? For example, the old fashioned "don't wear white after Labor Day" rule (which I do NOT support), but let's talk about what you need for the seaon. Layering, it's important. The key to staying warm and looking dapper is good layered looks. Sweaters are normally a key essential to a good fall look. From layering with a classic button down and tie, or throwing a puffer on, you can go far with such a simple piece. Other pieces that are good to add in your wardrobe are a couple of good coats. A good leather jacket will never go out of style, and neither will any peacoat. If you dont have atleast one of the two, shame on you. Now, let's talk about good fall accessories for gentlemen. If you're stuck with what to get a guy for Christmas, thing about adding scarves, sunglasses, gloves, or even a new duffel to his collection of nice things. Scarves are one of those things that a lot of guys aren't focused on, and it bothers me. A good scarf could take an outfit from a 6 to a 10 really fast. Ralph Lauren, J.Crew, and Brooks Brothers have some of the most cozy and stylish scarves availavble for guys. There's so many ways you can wear a scarf (which will be another blog post), but for now look into this article on GQ.com.
In my opinion, the wayfarer style of sunglasses are major fall statement pieces. They aren't too "summer-y" and look great with a beanie and camel colored peacoat! Okay, now gloves. I recently bought my first pair of leather gloves from Coach, and it was such a good purchase. The leather glove tells a story about a man. It shows that he cares about his apperance, and has a lot going for himself. A small pool of guys would even think to buy a pair, that's why it's so obvious. The last good fall essential that I'll talk about is luggage. Secretly, I'm a bag collector. I've collected about fifteen duffels and backpacks. I'm actually starting a collection of travel luggage in the cognac/black color themes. Unique luggage is important for the simple fact that you can seperate yourself from other's. Hopefully I helped you with your fall or gift shopping. Stay dapper til next time, folks. -Denz As a young kid, I remember this brand that one of my cousin's subliminally worshipped. She ALWAYS wore this brand with a logo that looked like a flag. Sooner or later, I figured who the brand belonged to, the great Tommy Hilfiger. Hilfiger's brand is an American classic that has been globally successful for decades. With his iconic logo branded merchandise, and prep like fashion, Tommy Hilfiger was seen on any and everyone.
If you follow me on any social media or just know me personally, you know that in my head I am a brand rep for everything Tommy does! So, why do I like the brand so much? It's because it's one of the most diverse brands out there. The Hilfiger brand is truly for the people. Tommy's clothes can be styled in prep or streetwear form, even an dapper vibe can be displayed from Tommy. So, what's your thoughts on the Tommy brand? What brand is your favorite or do you believe is the most iconic for all people? Leave your answers in the comment section below! -Denz |
